As adults, we often encounter complex challenges that can feel overwhelming—navigating relationships, managing emotions, and understanding our evolving identities. These transitions and the search for a deeper understanding of ourselves, can leave us feeling lost or disconnected. Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors, helping to uncover underlying patterns and insights.
Rooted in attachment theory and neuroscience, my integrative approach provides a compassionate environment for self-discovery and healing. Together, we will explore your inner landscape, fostering greater self-awareness and developing transformative strategies to empower you, building a stronger foundation for personal growth and emotional well-being.

The teenage years can be a time of significant confusion, often accompanied by stress and anxiety as teens navigate their evolving sense of self in relation to others and the world around them. This period of exploration and growth can be challenging, with fluctuating emotions and pressures that feel overwhelming.
Therapy provides a safe space for teens to explore their inner worlds, understand their emotions, and gain clarity about their identity. They can develop healthy coping strategies that not only help them manage the challenges of adolescence but also empower them to approach the next stages of their development with greater confidence and resilience.

Therapy offers a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore their thoughts and emotions, helping them to better understand themselves.
Through play, creative expression, art and guided conversations, therapy provides children with healthy coping strategies that can support them through current challenges, and supporting the regulation of their system. This will lay a strong foundation for managing stress in the future.
With the permission of the child, therapy may include the caregiver, should that align with the child’s goals.

Parenting can be one of the most rewarding yet challenging roles we take on, especially when faced with difficult moments or behaviors. Many parents seek therapy not only to find new strategies for supporting their children but also to explore their own childhood experiences and how they show up when parenting. Our early experiences often shape the foundation of how we approach parenting, and sometimes patterns from the past can unconsciously influence how we respond to our own children.
In therapy, we examine these patterns, explore the emotions and beliefs that may be impacting parenting, and develop new, more effective strategies. Through this process, we can work together to break cycles, enhance your connection with your child, and empower you with tools to foster a healthier, more mindful approach to parenting.
FAQs
What can I expect in my first session?
The first session is spent getting to know each other, with focus on building the therapeutic relationship which promotes safety in the space. This may include completing a brief history to understand more about your life and what brought you to therapy. By the end of the first session we will start establishing goals for our work together.
Are sessions covered by insurance?
Most employee benefits cover services by a registered social worker. After payment is received, you will receive a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
What is your cancellation policy?
I request 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your therapy session. No-shows or cancellation outside of the 24 hours would be subject to the full fee.
How can I support my child’s therapy process?
It’s wonderful that you want to be involved in your child’s care! At the same time, it’s important that your child feels this space is theirs, in a way that feels right for them.
Under the Health Care Consent Act (1996), there is no specific “age of consent” for personal health care decisions. This means that clients of any age have the right to provide or refuse consent for their own treatment, as long as they understand the information and potential consequences.
If you'd like more insight into your child’s work, I will speak with them directly to obtain their consent before sharing any details. Exceptions apply in situations that require mandatory reporting.
